Grandeur of the Seas
Bob and I had booked this cruise last summer. Long story behind me going ahead and going after he died, which I won’t get into… but I took the ten day cruise with my cousin, her husband, and a friend of theirs …
Due to an engine problem one of the stops..Puerto Rico… was cancelled… a bit sorry, as I always liked that port of call…
First stop was Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Claudine, Laura, and I book a simple excursion that was a bus ride with a few stops to sight see… nothing really spectacular, but the stop at the batik place was interesting…
They had amazing work, I bought one small piece.
The view was also amazing.
Driving through the older parts of town it was neat to see how they use old volcano rocks to build by adding more material to the outside…
We also went to a resort area that had a small garden…not really sure the purpose of this stop wasn’t really anything there…🤷♀️ the garden wasn’t even that interesting… mostly just grass.
They did have an old armory..
